Links to Other Groups

Inspirability has made available several sets of links to other groups on this website. As a non condition specific charity we feel that should you require more specific information about a particular condition, that the charity which specializes in that condition will have better resources available which may assist you.

The other links shown are to those organisations and groups that have supported and sponsored us since our inception. There are however to our knowledge two sites who also use the name Inspirability and to whom you may have come to our site by accident looking for them. We are very happy to provide a link to them as they have been very supportive of us.

Inspirability 40 Top Designers Speak out

When we first tried to register a website Inspirability .com and .org were taken only three days before we tried to register the name. Matt Pashkow or Pash as he is better known was planning this book which was launched at the How Design Conference in 2005 and he kindly gave us a mention, and has had several email conversations with us. The book is a very interesting read and we recommend it. You will find Pash through Inspirability

Inspirability Pty. Ltd

We came across this group when we suddenly started getting a few hits on the website from Australia.

Inspirability Pty Ltd is a Melbourne-based human resources and organisational development consulting organisation specialising in the development and implementation of programs designed to capture the potential of individuals, teams and organisations. Quite funny really we are doing the same thing only not charging the earth for it.

Links to all our sponsors can be found on the Sponsors page under Rural and Community.

Learning Links (Southern) Ltd

Learning Links (Southern) Ltd is an educational charity based in Portsmouth, encouraging groups and individuals to participate in lifelong learning. Where possible courses are offered at no cost to the student and free or low cost childcare is often available.

In 1998 the PCTI became Learning Links (Southern) Ltd, a registered educational charity that has continued to develop a range of initiatives and projects that offer specialist learning support to groups currently under-represented in learning.

These innovative projects include PALs Learning Champions, Community Researchers, Bridge Builders and SensAbility. Some are ICT focussed and use computers with specialist tutors to provide appropriate IT training to the elderly, the visually impaired, Sure Start parents and to people with disabilities. All these activities provide opportunities for people who would not otherwise access learning.

The Long-Term Conditions Alliance

An Umbrella organisation representing national voluntary organisations concerned with meeting the needs of people with long-term health conditions. The LTCA's work included the Living with Long-term Illness (Lill) Project: a three-year action research project to increase knowledge about, and use of, self-management programmes for people living with long-term conditions; and the Living Well Project, which built on the work of the Lill project and aims to sustain and further develop high quality lay-led self-management programmes. Many of the rules that we use to run the Inspirability Support course Have been done with the help of the LTCA guidelines.

For detailed information about LTCA's work - and to download the resource tool Supporting expert patients: how to develop self-management programmes for people with long-term medical conditions - visit the LTCA's website.

Sudden Trauma Information Service Helpline (STISH) website.

The purpose of this website is to provide accurate information and advice on many issues which surface in the wake of a sudden traumatic experience (i.e., an unexpected and one off event such as a road traffic accident, industrial accident, or assault).

This website has not been designed to provide information on issues relating to longstanding traumatic experiences such as childhood sexual abuse. However, if you have been affected by such experiences, you may find some of the organisations listed in the Quick Links section helpful.

The content of this website has been prepared for adult users (i.e., 18 years and over) by a small group of professionals comprising the STISH Management Committee.
